We are excited to be announcing a fresh vision and structure for our youth and young adult’s community here at C3 Church in 2010. As you may be aware, in the past we have had two departments operating individually: SG Youth for 11-18yrs, and CHANGE Community for 18+ yrs. After much consideration and prayer we have decided to combine the departments as one. It will be known as the Love Is Community.

So what does this mean?

The vision for the Love Is Community is to reach the young people of Sydney for Christ. In order to help us achieve this goal we will be shifting from a service mentality to a discipleship focus.

Instead of running SG Senior High and CHANGE services weekly, these services will be held once a month on the last week of the month. During the time these services would usually run, leaders will be running connect groups across the city.

Sunday 6pm service will now become the main corporate meeting for our youth and young adults.

Specific changes to our departments:
  • SG Junior High (Year 6 to Year 8) there have been no changes. It will continue to run as per usual.
  • SG Senior High (Year 9 to Year 12) will be meeting offsite in connect groups on Friday nights and gathering on the Church Site for a corporate meeting every last Friday of the month.
  • SG Sunday Morning (SGSM) there has been no changes. It will continue to run as per usual.
  • CHANGE (18+years) will run weekly connect groups on Monday and Tuesday meeting corporately on the last Wednesday of each month.
  • Connect Group Leaders: all Connect Leaders in the Love Is Community will be gathering on Wednesday nights at Church for leadership training and development.
We know 2010 will be an incredible year for the youth and young adults of C3 and as a team we are so excited for the future. We will continue to keep you up to date with any significant changes or events that will be taking place in the Love Is Community but please feel free to contact us in the office with any questions you may have.

THE SG BUS

There is a FREE bus available on the last friday of every month for SG Senior High.
Below is the pickup timetable:

Terrey Hills (6:25pm) Outside local shops
Mona Vale (6:40pm) Main North bound stop on Pittwater Rd (Bus stop in front of the sushi restaurant)
Warriewood (6:45pm) Stop opposite Warriewood Cinema
Narrabeen (6:50pm) Opposite Mobil service station
C3 Church (7:00pm)

And in reverse on the way home. Leaving at Oxford Falls at 10pm
